Standard service mileage rate applies to locations beyond these limits and is calculated from nearest listed incorporated city center (not all areas are incorporated cities). We include 3 attempts per address (or until we determine its a bad address)

Arizona:
Tucson, South Tucson, Tanque Verde, Casas Adobes, Catalina Foothills, Marana, Oro Valley, Catalina, Sahuarita, Green Valley, Summit, Elroy, Casa Grande

Oregon:
Salem, Albany, Eugene, Bend, Redmond, Sisters, Prineville, and Madras.

OTHER SERVICE FEES

We provide detailed explanations to ensure transparency in everything we do. We also believe in offering breakout pricing for many of our services—particularly for non-standard or custom requests—so you only pay for the specific services you actually need. This approach helps maintain fairness, avoids unnecessary costs, and gives you a clearer understanding of how your request is handled.

While additional costs may apply for non-standard services, the typical cost for standard service requests generally ranges from $49 to $70 in most cases.

Printing & Mailing Costs
We charge $0.25 per page after the first 15 pages. Printing costs can sometimes increase when we must make additional copies that were not initially expected to meeting substitute service requirements (e.g. Oregon’s substitute service at a defendants home to another person 14-years of age or older requires the server also mail a copy of the documents to the address). Any mailing requirements incur a $10 fee per addressee, which includes up to the first $5 of actual postage costs which are also charged to the requester which generally covers most average requests.

Unless required or unavailable, we e-file all affidavits with Arizona and Oregon courts and do not charge for this.

Out-of-State Documents: $20
We charged for the service of documents filed in courts outside of Oregon and Arizona, including all federal courts. We DO NOT charge this fee if we so happen to be serving Arizona court documents in Oregon, or vice versa.

Valor Legal Services is unable to guarantee local rules for courts outside Arizona & Oregon, or federal courts, so it is the responsibility of requester to detail such requirements and provide the necessary documents for service. We are not responsible for any defects in service in the event the provided documents were incomplete.}

Notary Fees: Arizona: $5 – Oregon: $20
Oregon affidavit requirements generally do not require a server to obtain a notary, so doing so (generally for service of out-of-state papers) is not part of our common process and requires more time to coordinate and obtain. Additionally, we are unable to electronically sign affidavits requiring notary, requiring us to print the affidavit, potential travel to a notary, sign and get the document notarized, then return and manually scan the affidavit and upload into our service software. For “wet” signature only without notary we charge $5.

Arizona generally requires affidavits of service to be notarized, but due to our arrangements and standard practice, the time and cost to obtain a notary is very routine and does not incur the time costs as it does in these rare situations for service of Oregon court affidavits.

Rush / Same-day requests are $30 per address attempted. Base fee for Standard Service is per addresses attempted/served. 3 attempts included per address, but mileage billed for each attempt. 25¢ per printed page after first 10 pages.

Oregon Secretary of State Service:
A $30 fee is required to cover the $20 fee charged for service made on the Oregon Secretary of State, which we must pay at time of service. The additional $10 is for our process and handling of the payment.

Cancellation:
If canceled before dispatched for a 1st attempt, a $15 processing/handling + printing fees will still apply.

Payment Method & Terms:
An initial payment may be required prior to dispatching or providing the affidavit, especially for individual or first-time requesters.

Debit/credit card payments only unless an established client with consolidated payment terms. If exceptions made for check payments a $10 handling fee will apply. We DO NOT accept any unencrypted check sending by email (e.g. Deluxe Payment Exchange for “eChecks”) as DPE often attachs the check images to emails which is unsecure.

By investing in technology and standardized procedures, we’re able to offer affordable, reliable service for the vast majority of routine requests.

_{Requester also agrees to any costs of recovery for chargebacks to the fullest extent allowed by law, which shall at minimum include a $50 penalty unless prohibited by law. All requesters understand and submit to the jurisdiction of the state where we perform our services, including Arizona, Oregon, or Wyoming; for any and all disputes and recovery actions.}

Discounts & Consolidated Net Payment Terms:
We offer discounts to law firms and other process servers for established and regular requests. The amount of regular requests, any exclusivity terms, and other efforts to streamline process with established clients all play a factor in discount terms which can be as much as 25%.
